Opernexa

Production software for Sri Lanka

Plan production from real demand, and know what each batch cost

Opernexa turns recipes into work orders, draws materials from stock automatically, and records what you actually got against what you expected — down to the wastage.

What உற்பத்தி does

  • Recipes and bills of materials

Define what goes into each product, with quantities per batch and expected yield. Scale a recipe up or down and the material requirement scales with it, including sub-assemblies made in-house.

  • Production planning against actual demand

Build the day’s or the week’s plan from real branch sales, standing orders and stock cover rather than recall. Opernexa flags the raw materials you are short of before the shift starts, not during it.

  • Work orders and material issue

Issue materials against a work order and watch raw stock reduce as it happens, or backflush on completion where that suits your floor better. Either way, flour on hand and finished goods on hand stay on one ledger.

  • Yield, wastage and rework

Record actual output, wastage and rework against every work order. Persistent yield gaps stop being folk knowledge and become a number attached to a product, a shift or a line.

  • Batch traceability both ways

Trace a finished batch back to the ingredient batches that made it, or trace an ingredient batch forward to everything it went into. A supplier problem becomes a five-minute query.

  • True cost per unit

Material cost, wastage and production overhead roll into a cost per unit that updates as your input prices move. You find out that a product stopped being profitable while you can still do something about it.

அடிக்கடி கேட்கப்படும் கேள்விகள்

Straight answers to what businesses ask us before they buy.

Do I need to be a large factory to use Opernexa Manufacturing?

No. It is built for the scale most Sri Lankan producers actually operate at — a bakery kitchen, a small food processor, a workshop with two lines. If you buy inputs, make something and sell it, the module earns its place. Large-plant features like shop-floor scheduling are there when you grow into them.

Can Opernexa handle recipes that change with batch size?

Yes. Recipes are defined per standard batch and scale to the quantity you are producing, and you can hold different recipe versions for different batch sizes where the ratios genuinely differ. Opernexa uses the version in force on the work order, so historic costing stays accurate.

How does Opernexa track production wastage?

Every work order records planned yield against actual output, and the difference is captured as wastage or rework with a reason. Because materials are valued, wastage carries a rupee figure rather than just a quantity. Over a month you can see which products, shifts or lines are losing you the most.

Does producing an item automatically reduce raw material stock?

Yes. Issuing materials to a work order draws them out of stock, and completing the order books the finished goods in. Raw materials and finished goods sit on the same stock ledger as everything you sell at the counter, so there is no separate production spreadsheet to reconcile.

Can I trace a finished batch back to its ingredients?

Yes, in both directions. From a finished batch you can see every ingredient batch that went into it, and from an ingredient batch you can see every finished batch it reached. That is what makes a targeted recall possible instead of pulling everything.
